Among the world’s most well-known and pop that is beloved, ArianaвЂ™s Grande’s individual relationships with cisgender guys have already been an enormous focus of tabloid and Twitter fodder for years the-inner-circle reddit (see: BDE). TheyвЂ™ve also been fodder on her biggest hits; in «thank u, next,» she highlights her newest exes, whom are already famous men.
Nevertheless, when you look at the chronilogical age of intimate fluidity, making presumptions about someoneвЂ™s identification according to their current partner or partners is a faulty default. And assuming Grande had been right (as many did) was exactly that until Monday, whenever she dropped «Monopoly,» a brand new track alongside her closest friend and close collaborator Victoria MonГ©t. Inside it, both designers infer that theyвЂ™re queer, with one line efficiently handling their interest both in sexes: «We like people (yeah).»
Grande’s rabid group of followers (which include a considerable contingent that is LGBTQ+ began tweeting concerning the stanza almost straight away. «Ariana ainвЂ™t gotta label by herself, but she stated exactly what she stated,» one fan penned, to which Grande responded, «i have actuallynвЂ™t prior to and still donвЂ™t feel the necessity to now that will be ok.»
